I was first introduced to yoga over ten years ago.  Suffering from childhood migraines brought on by stress, my daily yoga practice allowed a freedom that I never knew existed.  As a certified yoga teacher (200ERYT with Yoga Alliance) and Thai Yoga therapist, my passion is to share my love of learning with others, especially promoting self-healing and self-discovery.  The yoga style, Ashtanga, has become my personal yoga practice, along with other yoga styles such as Vinyasa Flow, White Lotus, Kundalini, Anusara and Iyengar. I recently added a certification in children's yoga. I encourage an adventurous spirit in my students of all ages and levels of experience.
Studying Thai Yoga massage has enhanced my knowledge of the yoga therapy.  I have trained with Tanya Boigenzahn at the Yoga Center in the Twin Cities completing a 100 hour certification in Thai Yoga Bodywork.  Also, I have added other energetic modalities to my treatments by becoming certificated in first and second degree Reiki with Reiki master and teacher, Barbara MacKay Simmonds, M.A. as well as Qi gong, Ayurveda and Healing Touch.  I am looking forward to continuing my Thai Yoga massage training in Thailand with Pichest Boomeshes next spring.
