My practice has taught me so much about myself and how to be a better human being. What is yoga to me? Yoga is the means by which we create the changes we desire in our lives. Through our yoga practice we cultivate a deeper awareness of our true potential to love and be loved. We cultivate a state of awareness that allows us to be truly present in whatever action we take. This has huge practical applications in our day to day lives. Each class is an opportunity to utilize the vast number of tools made available to us , through the practice of yoga, to grow and discover our potential. Through practice we become connected with our highest selves and can work toward our highest good, improving all aspects of our lives.
I began my asana practice when I was a child in the Bikram form. I have since grown to appreicate the many benefits gained from different styles of yoga and seek to apply these tools as a means of fostering growth, discovery and joy in each class. Some influential teachers have been, the teachings of Sri Krisnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar, Erich Shiffman, Paul Grilley, Scott Blossom, Holly Jackson, Peter Sterios and the other inspirational life teachers I meet everyday.
