In 1980 some good friends told us about an incredible yoga workout in Hollywood.  My husband and I, then living in Scottsdale, AZ, traveled to visit our friends and experience the class.  We loved it.  It was with Bikram Choudhury.  I traveled back and forth for the next several months to study with Bikram.  I was already an AFFA consultant teaching and training Aerobics in Arizona.  When I returned I added yoga classes using Bikrams training.  This practice led me to train with other great yogis including Cintra Brown.  In 2002 I began studying with Moonyeen Park and my yoga practice and teachings began to follow a different path towards a gentler more encompassing practice.  Studying at Yoga Conservatory I received my 200 hour certification with Yoga Alliance, RYT.  As an RYT and an AFFA consultant I have been teaching classes plus nationally training and helping certify other instructors for over 20 years and added the 500 E-RYT certification with Yoga Alliance.
In 2003 I moved to the Central Coast to be closer to my daughter, April,  and my grand children, Bjorn and Marin.  Having successfully started and run several businesses (BS in Finance)  April and I decided to join our love of yoga and give back to the community by opening a yoga studio on the Central Coast.  Yoga Village was then born.
I hope to bring my love of yoga and all that it encompasses to my students.  Yoga means union, and in my classes we bring together our minds, bodies and spirits, opening our hearts and giving ourselves a gift of health and love.
