Give me Yoga with a side of fries and a tall glass of stillness and I'm a happy yogi. My interest in Yoga first piqued while participating in physical therapy, due to an injury, I found that many of the exercises paralleled Yoga asanas (postures). I completed my 200 hour training to teach Yoga in 2008. Beyond my 200 hour certification, I am certified at the 500 hour level with the Yoga Alliance.
In addition to the physical application of Yoga, Seva is an important part of my practice. Seva involves living compassionately, in such a way that uplifts and assists others on both a local and global scale. In 2008, I traveled to Nicaragua to assist indigenous people in the construction of their homes through Habitat for Humanity, and was able to share Yoga while in that setting. I have experienced numerous benefits from my Yoga practice, and I hope you will too.
